Shortcut is the kind of zine I want to gift widely and wildly. Pocket-sized, full-color, sweet and vibrant collages, and a couple pages of context that heightens the images to a new level of meaning. So simple and so good.
As Heather writes in the introduction: "So much of what I value in life is built on process: nurturing friendships, writing & sending mail, creating community through my work as a public librarian. And maybe that's another reason why I feel so drawn to collage: the process—the cutting & the placing & the questioning & the removing—of making a collage feels just as crucial as the end piece."
24 pages, quarter-size, full color.
