The thirtieth issue of Portland's most compact and action-packed weirdo art zine. Bringing the heat, Mara includes paintings from Allison "Albie" Bryant, a Sophia Loren scrapbook assembled by Andrew Michael Maggio, the gifts of Norbert Marklin, photos of Fred Holston and Katelyn Erb (Public Pleasure), the band TERMINATor, paintings of The Space Lady.
In her beautiful and epic "Letter from the Obsessor," Mara writes about the idea of artist-as-terminal-disease: "In my mind, what makes it a disease is that inability to make big decisions or prioritize moves that may lead to more proven (yet not guaranteed) modes of security in virtually all sectors of life. The blind need; the compulsion. What makes it feel crazier is that sometimes doing this thing you love and need can hurt so badly....But to not do it, to not chase it, is basically impossible."
