Music

The full-length debut from Pleasure Systems, the solo project of Clarke Sondermann from Olympia indie-pop band The Washboard Abs. Mixing synth pop, indie folk, and ambient textures, Antumbra Pull is an album about love and fear and the intersection between the two.

Limited-edition second printing on clear cassettes with red foil. Released on Antiquated Future Records. Listen on Bandcamp.

"Each track is pure and sincere and deceptively rich, each created within its own little world, or perhaps conjuring a snapshot of a particular time/place in our own." - Various Small Flames

Pleasure Systems- Crumbs

The solo debut from Erica Freas (Cosmit, RVIVR, SOMNIA). Folk anthems to play over and over. Songs that empower. Paying tribute to family, animals, the earth, life and death and everything in between.

10 songs, beautifully printed covers and inserts. The album that came before her Dio Giovanni Records debut, Patient Ones.

Erica Freas- The Sound

Kimya Dawson, Jeffrey Lewis, Jack Lewis, Anders Griffen, and Karl Blau combine to make sweet tragi-comic folk-pop. A hidden jewel of a supergroup.

The Bundles- Pirates Declare War

Recorded in a renovated church during a windstorm, with members of Mount Eerie serving as her backing band, Bury Me Into the Mtn is an album that stops you in your tracks. From the big backing vocals of the album’s opener to its methodically sparse closing track, she creates a musical narrative that doesn’t release its listener until the whole tale has been told. An album that's completely unique while also being totally accessible.

Eleanor Murray- Virginia

Glorious, brooding, and completely in a world of its own. The project of Molly Fischer (of Songs For Moms fame), Hot Tears nods to chamber-folk and a wide variety of punk and metal subgenres without fitting nicely into any box. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

With Erica Freas (Cosmit, RVIVR, SOMNIA) on cello, and a multitude of Olympia all-stars lending voices and studio talents.

Hot Tears- Change of Heart

Sale! Dear Crone is the latest from Olympia's Woolen Warrior. With its expansive take on sparse Northwest indie folk (think early Pedro the Lion or Damien Jurado), Dear Crone is an album about cycles, about (according to songwriter Sam Gray), "How they exist within ourselves and how we exist within them. The comfort of their continuance and the awe of their indifference."

Featuring musical contributions from Pamela Margon (Tattered Dress), Andrew Dorsett (Lake), Ariel Page, and Jen Grady (You Are Plural).

The packaging itself is a work of art. On gold cassettes with hand-marbled cassette art unique to each tape. Comes in home-sewn muslin sleeve with hand-printed cover art. Vellum album insert. Limited edition of only 25 copies!

Temporary sale! A brilliant album from Olympia cellist Derek M. Johnson. The range between the joyously furious chaos of where it starts and the stop-you-in-your-tracks lush beauty of where it ends is vast, but it works. Along the way there's deep ambience and solo cello, making an album in four distinct parts--one that carries weight and leaves you somewhat stunned.

Comes with a digital download card. Released on Seattle's Aphonia Recordings. A portion of album also benefits Safeplace, an Olympia organization that provides services for victims of sexual and domestic violence. Listen on Bandcamp.

Temporary sale! Olympia's Sharkpact make well-crafted, amazingly-full punk songs with just synths and drums. Eight anthems that won’t leave your head or your turntable for days.

Sharkpact- Ocean

The long-awaited debut from Olympia supergroup Guidon Bear. Songwriter Mary Water (Little Red Car Wreck) combines with drummer/multi-instrumentalist Pat Maley (Lois, Courtney Love) and synth-player E. Michael Bradley (Parent Band)—all veterans of the '90s Olympia music scene—to create infectious and subtly complex pop songs about real-life nightmares, boot camps, late bills, and scraping by.

It's an album about being an anti-imperialist in the National Guard, economic fragility, and parenting paycheck to paycheck. An instant classic.

Available on cassette and CD, both come with digital download codes. Released on Antiquated Future Records, in collaboration with Yoyo Recordings. Listen on Bandcamp.
